Over 20 years experience
as a therapist has taught me that good therapy should be a lot like a luxury car commercial. While terrain, weather and obstacles can be treacherous, the customized, secure, environment woos one to a journey some wouldn’t dare otherwise. There can be calm and safety in a raging storm and, with the right tools and skills, awe-inspiring surprise and delight alongside the darkness, risk and dangerous outlook.
As a client you will learn I love to use metaphors and analogies to help make sense of and humanize this work. Down to earth, raw, real and surgically strategic have been ways clients have explained my style. I truly want to meet you where you are and give you new experiences in session to accept that space or assist you to move forward with greater skills and self-esteem.
After graduate school at Drexel University I became the coordinator of Family Therapy at an inpatient drug, alcohol, gambling and sex addiction treatment facility outside of Philadelphia. I worked towards licensure under the supervision of pioneer Harry Aponte which has been a major contribution to technical and compassionate nature of my work. From there I joined a group practice for outpatient clients in offices thru DE and MD treating a wide variety of issues from anxiety, depression, grief and loss to infidelity, addiction, other relationships issues and life transitions. After several years I helped that company open offices in central PA. In 2021 I began this private practice doing more of the same. I particularly enjoy the intersections of conflict, coping, connection and spirituality. I love reviving love lost between couples or within generations and feel privileged and grateful to have a front row seat to the radical transformation of people and relationships.
